Coffee and lifestyle components that revolve around coffee have revolutionised the way many individuals in society congregate, socialise and perform unique routines.

A morning person

Are you a morning person? This question is specially placed in dialogue. Its casual demeanour obscures a unique ethnographic distinction of commuters on their way to work; the caffeinated and the un-caffeinated.

The caffeinated persuasion is already on top of the day’s beginning. Alert and aware, they read the paper, browse the net, whatever, and all during the commute! An aura of subtle, energetic zest exists about their person.
It’s a whole ‘nother story for the un-caffeinated, the ones yet to consume coffee. They wear sleep like coats on the train. The night before has not left them, not until coffee has fuelled their fire. Reading material? Internet? No sir, nothing until a morning coffee.

The caffeinated have given tangibility to a scenario where commuters are being manufactured into bright and chirpy “morning people.”

What age are you allowed to drink coffee?

Humanity is starting coffee drinking earlier and earlier. Young people are the latest phenomenon to transcend to coffee kingdom.
High school and university students are now constantly seen commuting and holding a cup of coffee, or hanging out at local cafes.
Coffee is not a drink anymore, it’s a medium.

Where did you get your coffee degree?

Bob Dylan’s words echo the case: “The times they are a changin’.”
Cafes are increasingly hiring baristas that have officially recognised training. The level 1 barista course is all about making the coffee, level 2, latte art.

Credentials mean quality. Coffee culture is huge, bigger than anything anyone could’ve predicted. The coffee has to be good, otherwise there is a disturbance in the force…in the coffee force that is.

Coffee, your constant companion

Oddly, coffee accompanies us on small productive pursuits of the everyday. Whether it be a person on their laptop, reading a book or writing on a notepad, coffee is there.

Perhaps coffee is a way of allowing us to relate to the surrounding environment. It’s normal to conduct everyday activities with a good ol’ cup of coffee.

Brookfield Multiplex Melbourne approached Corporate Coffee Solutions with a brief which requested a reliable coffee machine to service 90 staff members with minimal fuss. Corporate Coffee Solutions approached the brief in a consultative manner inviting key decision makers to our showroom to demonstrate various high output machines. The decision was made to put forward a Carimali Optima super automatic coffee machine with integrated fridge, chocolate unit and cup warmer.

After installation, training and regular follow up with Brookfield Multiplex, the result has been phenomenal with comments such as ìthe machine is working brilliantly and ìthere has been not one complaint about the coffee and machine which is unusual in an office of 90 people.

Corporate Coffee Solutions is committed to providing the right solution for our clients and following through with superior products, committed service and support from beginning to end.

According the CEO Jeff Vassel, Dimattina coffee has been on the radar for a while as demand for premium coffee increases.

A chance meeting in July created an opportunity for Jeff & Paul Dimattina (Director of Sales) to explore ways of better serving potential corporate clients who enjoy drinking Dimattina coffee at their favourite cafe and want to order it at work.

Subsequent meetings between the two has meant that Corporate Coffee Solutions now stock award winning Dimattina Prima Tazza coffee beans in 1kg bags.

Automatic Espresso Machines, How Automatic Machines Work

Adding an espresso machine to the office is a nice way to give your employees a special perk and an incentive to come in early. These are also useful for extending courtesy to guests. However, it’s a good idea to take a careful look at the different varieties of machines, in order to choose the best for your company needs. There are three main types of espresso machines to choose from. Automatic espresso machines are most commonly used in office environments, while manual machines are seen in restaurants or coffee shops, and take a higher level of skill to operate. The semi automatic models fit somewhere in between the other two.

However, for the purposes of installing an espresso machine within a busy office environment, where you don’t have the time to finely hand craft your coffee, automatic espresso machines are generally the best bet. These are called automatic because they automate all of the functions for you. That includes the delivery of water, the heating functions, and anything else that you have specified. All you need to do is push a button, and the machine will deliver a preset amount of water into your cup. While this will be the same in most cases, it’s possible to tweak the settings to change this standard amount.

To operate automatic espresso machines, you will need to fill the filter with coffee, tamp it down, place it back into the machine, and then simply press a button. Once the correct amount of hot water has been dispensed and the coffee has been brewed, the machine will shut down without you having to worry about anything else. Within this basic set of instructions, there are usually some options that you can choose from. You should be able to choose whether you want one or two espresso shots, and whether you would like them long or short.

There are many benefits to choosing to use automatic espresso machines over the other types that are available. The main benefit is consistency. When you use an automated machine, you are guaranteed to receive the same consistent cup of espresso every time, without having to worry about the settings or anything. This also allows every employee or guest in the office to be capable of making their own cup of espresso, to their liking, without having to bring in a professional barista or send someone out on a coffee run, making the operation far more convenient.

Automatic Coffee Machines, How to Choose an Office Machine

Business and coffee tend to go hand in hand for many people, because it can be hard to get out of bed and get motivated without that first cup in the morning. If you are trying to welcome clients into your office, it’s considered to be basic good manners to offer them a cup of coffee or tea upon their arrival. Whether it is for your employees or more for your clients and customers, installing automatic coffee machines within your office can help make the workday be more efficient and enjoyable.

However, before you make a decision regarding which of these automatic coffee machines will be the best option for your office, it’s a good idea to examine what your options are. Drip coffee is one of the most common types of automatic machines, but there are also espresso machines, filtered coffee machines, single and multi cup brew options, and fancier machines that are also able to steam milk or froth your caffeinated beverages. To sift through all of these, think first about how frequently your machines will be put to use.

If you have a large volume of employees that will be looking for freshly brewed coffee every morning, for example, it would make more sense to choose those automatic coffee machines that are capable of brewing up large batches of drip or filtered coffee. For the purpose of impressing clients, however, you might want to be able to offer them a cup of artisanal espresso instead. A good solution to choosing from these various options would be to purchase one of each, putting the larger industrial model in the common break room, and using the espresso machine for special occasions or at reception.

Be sure to read all about the care and maintenance that is required for your machine before you make your purchase. Some automatic coffee machines require daily cleaning, and are more suitable for a cafe with trained baristas rather than an office building. The best models for larger groups of people are those that are self cleaning, or that have automatic timers so that they shut off at a prearranged time. To get started with finding the ideal machine, you will want to think about its features and what the coffee consumption needs for your office are. If your employees are spending their work time making runs to the coffee shop, it may be high time to put in a coffee machine of your own.

Now that 2010 is well & truly behind us, I’d like to share some exciting news about this amazing partnership that was formed in late 2009.

Red Earth Coffee was officially launched in March 2010 with the introduction of the first of 3 Red Earth coffee blends (Grampians- 100% Arabica).

This was followed in April with Daintree- 100% Organic 75% Rainforest Alliance coffee, with the third blend Pinnacles which is a fantastic blend of Arabica & premium robusta coffee beans which is definately for lovers of a stronger Euro style coffee.
I’m pleased to announce that as at December 31st 2010 our customers enjoyed over 62,000 cups of Red Earth Coffee in their homes & offices across Australia. What’s more enjoyable is that because of the fantastic support of our loyal customers, we have donated over $ 1,400 to the McGrath Foundation to support breast care nurses accross Australia.

I was fortunate to attend a special luncheon in Sydney in early December which was hosted by the McGrath Foundation. Speaking with people who had some amazing stories of courage & survival really inspired us to do as much as we can to help.

So thank you for all of your support and we look forward to another rewarding year in 2011.
